Tesamorelin telehealth providers: how to evaluate them

Direct answer

Tesamorelin is a GHRH analogue and — importantly — one of the few peptides in this category that is genuinely FDA-approved, though for a narrow indication: the reduction of excess abdominal fat in adults with HIV-associated lipodystrophy. It is marketed as Egrifta. Everything else it is sold for is off-label.

How to evaluate a Tesamorelin provider

We do not publish a ranked list of Tesamorelin providers, for a specific reason: we have not captured and dated their pricing or verified their pharmacy relationships. Publishing a ranking we cannot substantiate would be worth less than nothing.

What we can give you is the evaluation framework we apply to the providers we have verified — the compounded GLP-1 programs in our pricing database.

Frequently asked questions

What does Tesamorelin cost through telehealth?

We have not verified a market price. On October 15, 2026, the Egrifta WR website published no list price, describing co-pay and patient assistance programs instead, and Oak Longevity priced tesamorelin only after an assessment. Ask for the total cost in writing, and ask whether you will get Egrifta WR or a compounded product.

Is Tesamorelin FDA-approved?

Yes, for one use. Egrifta WR is approved to reduce excess abdominal fat in HIV-infected adults with lipodystrophy, and its label says it is not indicated for weight-loss management. Compounded tesamorelin is not the approved product, and other uses are off-label.

Does Tesamorelin work?

FDA approved Egrifta WR on clinical trial evidence in adults with HIV and lipodystrophy. We found no comparable trials for general fat loss, anti-ageing or performance in other people, and approval for one condition is not evidence for another.
